BEHOLD  THE POWER OF PRAYER!

God does hear our prayers, even when we think He isn't listening (Isaiah 38:5.... I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears...).  There is a spiritual battle that is going on that we can only see the effects of, but while you are praying, angels are ministering, Jesus is interceding and God IS listening and responding. God is eager to answer our prayer. Consider Daniel 9:20-23 "...while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel... being caused to fly swiftly, reached me..... 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. 23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out..."   God heard Daniels prayer and as soon as Daniel started praying, at the beginning of his prayer before he could even finish, God had commanded Gabriel to fly swiftly and respond... that's how eager God is to answer prayer! And Jesus is always interceding our best interest to God on our behalf. Jesus prayed especially for you...if you want to know what Jesus' prayer for you was read John 17. The entire chapter is a prayer JUST FOR YOU, to keep you from evil, and to keep you for Himself, in God's love and protection.  I know from experience that Satan absolutely hates this prayer, and it is my opinion that this is the best, most perfect prayer ever prayed.... Jesus praying from his Holy Heart FOR YOU.  Have faith and don't ever doubt His Power, His Love, His Sacrifice and His intercession for you.

If you have never prayed, or you arent sure what to say, speak to God like you would to anyone else, God knows what you are trying to say from your heart, even before you speak the words.  Also someone once asked Jesus how we should pray... and Jesus responded with The Lord's Prayer, teaching us how to pray.  You can find that prayer below along with some other helpful prayers. Try to remember them by reciting them often, burn them into your mind and let God write them upon your heart. They are helpful and powerful when under spiritual attack.

                                             THE LORD'S PRAYER

                        Our Father,Who art in Heavean,

                        Hallowed be Thy name,

Thy kingdom come,  Thy will be done,

on earth, as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread,

                        and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

                            but, deliver us from evil,

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power

and the Glory, Forever and ever.

                                        Amen.

The  following two prayers have caused some contraversy. First of all, the word prayer means to ask, to beseech, to request. Many believe that we should pray only to God. We are to pray directly to God, but nowhere in the Bible does God tell us to pray only to Him. We ARE to worship God ONLY, but prayer in itself is not worship, it's fellowship. As believers and the body of Christ, we are fellow citizens and members of God's kingdom, along with His saints and angels, and ONLY through Jesus Christ are we adopted into God's kingdom. As fellow citizens we are to have fellowship with one another. To tell the Saints and Angels we don't need them or want them is unbiblical, every member needs every other member ( 1 Cor 12: 12-26). Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, David, Mary, Peter, Paul, all the Saints of the Bible who are now in Heaven with our Lord, are there the same as our personal familial loved ones. They were all human beings like us who walked this earth the same as us, but with a love, devotion and obedience to God, that we too should have. When we speak (pray) to them we are having fellowship with them, a great privelage that we would not have without Jesus Christ. When we speak to them we are not speaking to the dead, they are the living and they do hear us. Death does not seperate us. The problem is that we see them as 'bible characters' and we lose touch with the fact that they are family members. And who would not want to speak to Mary, the mother of our Savior and thank her for her obedience, for the love and care and all the motherly pains and sacrifices she made in raising our Lord and Savior? No ordinary person could have taken on such a task, and we should hold her in high esteem and reverence, but not worship her. Hail Mary is a prayer of honor and humility, it's not worship. St Michael is God's appointed General over His army of angels, and the one God has appointed to battle evil and defeat Satan. St. Michael's Prayer is simply letting him know that we are under attack and need him to keep doing his job for us. How many times have you asked a friend or loved one to pray for you? How many churches have a prayer list? It is no different in asking the same from our fellow citizens in Heaven.  When we can fellowship and commune with believers here on earth as well as those also in Heaven, we experience the fullness of a privelage given to us only through God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and God's Holy Spirit.  John 17: 20-21 (Jesus praying) Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

                                    ST  MICHAEL'S PRAYER

St Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle,

be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.                            May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.

And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,

by the Divine Power of God,

cast into hell, Satan and all evil spirits

who roam throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls.

                                            Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with thee,

Blessed are thou among women and

Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,

now and at the hour of our death.

Filled with faith and trust we pray to You to place Your Divine hand upon us and to heal our broken hearts.  Place Your Holy hand on each of our wounds that hurt and torment us.  Say just one word and every wound shall be healed.  Just one word is sufficient.  You are the Almighty God. Heal Lord Jesus my ailing body.  Heal each wound on my suffering body.  Through Your Holy Cross and Your Precious BLood which You shed for us, and through the power of Your Holy wounds, heal and cure our soul, our psyche and our spirit.  Through the crown of thorns and the pain You have suffered, heal every ailment of the head, mind, spine and nerves.  Place Your Divine hand on us and with Your Divine light and power heal every tumor and incurable illness.  May all of the centers of my being which God has given me from the very beginning be set right.  Touch my ears with Your fingers and heal them so that I may hear You and accept Your Word.  Through Your wounds You suffered in the heands and the feet.  Take from us all ailments of the joints, muscles and bones.

Jesus, just say one word and all of my sick limbs shall gain new strength.  Extend Your hand and touch every sick part of my skin so that I may be cleansed and healed.  May the water which flowed from Your side cleanse us and renew us.  May it become a blessing.  The gift of life that you have given us runs through our heart and veins. Lord Jesus, strengthen our heart, purify the blood and heal all blood ailments.

Thank You Jesus!
